A holiday in Wales is not just about beautiful scenery, though we have more than our fair share of mountains, lakes and dramatic coastline. It is about enjoyment.
We have an abundance of historic places, castles & gardens (including the National Botanic Garden and the "lost" gardens of Aberglasney) for you to visit.
Perhaps you just want to enjoy nature in peace - you can watch the dolphins of Cardigan bay, the seabirds of Pembrokeshire, or the Red Kites of Tregaron.
If you'd rather be active, you can walk our coastline, go surfboarding, mountain climbing or horse riding.
Wales is a land of contrasts and we hope that this web site will help you find accommodation, activities and events that will make your holiday truly enjoyable.
Situated on a working farm at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains, in the heart of Ceredigion and close to Tregaron. Bordering the farm is the world famous Tregaron Raised Bog known as Gors Coch Caron which runs to 3000 acres and is renowned for its ornithological delights with the famous red kite being a local resident in the surrounding hills. The cottages have traditional character with large oak beams, oak doors and floorboards, slate floors with geothermal underfloor heating and woodburning stoves. Tregaron is reknown for its trotting races, held annually at Dolyrychain farm on the Saturday following the May Bank Holiday and also over the August Bank Holiday weekend - the event is the largest of its kind in the UK and attracts over 10,000 visitors who are eager to watch the chariot-like spectacle. Dolyrychain cottages are a perfect sanctuary for a peaceful holiday or a haven for walkers and cyclists.
